What about me???

Jan Topless

I always loved exploring derelict, disused and abandoned buildings long before this sort of activity was called urban exploration.  I've been interested in industrial architecture, local history and archaeology as long as I can remember.  I also like tunnels, mineshafts, caves, anything subterranean.  I love my head light.

Northern BelleI like railways, stations, network diagrams, maps, timetables and travelling by train - but I am not a trainspotter, well maybe I am. But I don't own an anorak. Actually, maybe I do...

I really want to travel across India by train.

Most of my hobbies involve rooting around in the dark and generally acting suspiciously (Urbexing, Guerrilla Gardening, Geocaching, Metal Dectoring spring to mind).

outdoors

I enter more competitions than is probably normal.  I probably spend far too much time online.

I like white gloss paint and 70s interior décor.  I could never be a minimalist, I love stuff too much and I am very, very untidy.

Knowledge is power. I collect leaflets compulsively.

I don't have a particular look/image/style - what grown-up woman does?

 Office

I am always on time for appointments. Being late = being rude.

I like free samples, bargains, charity shops, junkyards and jumble sales.

DON'T PATRONISE ME - JUST DON'T

I married the love of my life.

Ciggie

I really did not think I could stop smoking - but did. Thanks Nigel.  Ever since quitting the weed I find it incredible difficult to wait anywhere.  For buses, in a queue.  I always have a book in my bag in case I am required to be patient.  I read a fair bit.

I really like HBO's series The Sopranos and the accompanying soundtrack.

I can make an origami flapping bird very quickly.

Red

Using my tumble dryer is one of my few guilty eco pleasures. I'm quite green most of the time.  Although, politically speaking I'm a red.

I love marzipan.

I love BIG heels.

There is nothing more peaceful than watching those you love sleep soundly.

If I had loads of time, babysitters, inclination, energy etc I would…
…garden, explore East Lothian; apply full make-up (including false eyelashes and contact lenses) every day; learn to drive; flog stuff on eBay; master CSS;  read the complete works of Dickens; urbex...
