36 Cameras

At the beginning of October 2005, we took delivery of 36 cameras which we then individually named and began sending out to the world's most witty, talented, charming and beautiful people. (Your camera is is probably winging its way to you…beautiful people can also be terribly lazy).

The 36 Cameras in this project are named: Bagge, Bat, Blinko, Byte, Cat, Co-operation, Daguerre, Dinosaur, Gaberlunzie, Geyser, Gorgie, Honeycomb, Hurdle, Jorvik, Lafayette, Liquorice, Malawi, Manhattan, Mermaid, Monkeymad, Noserude, Numpty, Olive, Parsley, Plashet, Presto, Robdog, Squirl, Strato, Stripes, Teacake, Tennis, Toast, Urbex, Vigeland & Whizz.

There are four different types of single use cameras being used in the project:

Kodak Ultra Daylight - takes 27 outdoor snaps

Kodak Ultra Super Flash - with a flash range of 4.6m, its ideal in poor light conditions - 27 photos

Kodak Ultra Sport - funky robust rubber casing - takes 27 underwater shots to a depth of 4m

Kodak Fun Flash - general use camera with a flash range of 4.3 - takes a whopping 39 pictures

Here is what is supposed to happen...

1. The camera recipient take 5 or 6 photos (of anything they fancy - well, not necessarily of anything they fancy, - what we mean is take a picture of, well, anything or anyone)

2. They record some information about the photos on a log accompanying their camera, then comes the tricky part...

3. They have to find someone equally wonderful who wants to take part in the fun and pass on the camera and log to them.

Hopefully, the participants will keep us informed and we can in turn chart each camera's progress here on the website.

The person to take the last photo should return the camera and log to us.

The photos will then be developed by our friends at Truprint and published here.

Important - if you have been sent a camera and don't want to take part - please, please, return it either to the person who sent it to you or us. This way, the pictures that have already been taken can still be published. Oh, and remember that someone, somewhere considers you to be witty, talented, charming and beautiful.

If you can't wait for your turn, contact us and we will try our best to get a camera to you.
