Transport

The town is served by FirstBus (129, X29, 128, 124, X5 & 66) and LothianBuses (26, X26, N26).

It has its own train station from which FirstScotrail's Edinburgh - North Berwick service runs (Edinburgh Waverley, Musselburgh, Wallyford, Prestonpans, Longniddry, Drem, North Berwick). High Speed Edinburgh to London trains pass through the station - stand clear!

Our nearest airport is Edinburgh (15 miles to the west) and nearest passenger ferry port is at Rosyth over the Forth Bridge (approximately 19 miles) from where you can travel to Zeebrugge with Superfast.

Prestoungrange History Series - covering brewing, pottery, geology, agriculture and much more can be purchased at the Prestoungrange Gothenburg or at Prestongrange Industrial Museum shop and bought/viewed online at www.prestoungrange.org - the same website where you can read Brushstrokes/Gothenburg News (the newsletter of the Prestoungrange Arts Festival Society).

The local library stocks and sells a number of publications about Prestonpans and its history including "East Lothian 1945 - 2000 Fourth Statistical Account Volume Two", edited by Sonia Baker.
